“*** In light of a response from the General Manager, I'm updating my review. The GM took utmost accountability for the short comings and has resolved this situation with our family. I would recommend this property to anyone traveling to this area.*** For some odd reason they put a small round table in the corner of the room with one of the chairs in the corner, completely blocked in by a giant sconce on the wall to the right of the TV. My son bumped the sconce while trying to get up from the chair and it wasn't mounted properly and broke. I did the right thing and informed the assistant manager of the incident. Shortly after this a man from maintenance came up and asked about it and said he'd be back to replace the sconce lamp shade. The shade was replaced but the glass was left all over the floor and table and ledge under the TV. My son ended up getting glass all in the bottom of his foot and we were forced to visit the Emergency Room instead of making the 4 hour trip back home on a Sunday.The management at this hotel has zero communication skills. They tacked on a $250 fee and then when we attempted to address the injury my son sustained they did nothing. The assistant manager had to us waiting for a call from the GM for 45 mins only to find out he had given the GM the wrong phone number. The GM finally text saying "I'm at a family function but can call you tomorrow anytime". I text the GM 24hrs later and still haven't heard from the GM. We travel A LOT and stay exclusively at Hilton hotels. We also use the Honors Amex. Moral of the story is: they will tack on a charge to your bill and never speak a word to you then ice you out. Hopefully Hilton Customer Service pulls rank on this abhorrent management team and corrects the situation.”
